Benefit Cost Codes

Tables and Benefit Plan Setup

The benefit age and service calculation rules define how years are calculated for calculations.

The Benefit Age/Svc Calc Rule table comes pre-defined with the system. Altering the codes on this table is not recommended. In standard implementations the Benefit Age/Svc Calc Rule table is unavailable through validation table maintenance and is available to administrators through screen customization options.

The Benefit Age/Svc Calc Rule table provides the selection list for "Age/Svc Calculation" on the Benefit Cost Codes Table. The way that years are defined is determined by the selection in the "Age/Svc Calculation" field, and a pair of options determines whether benefit costing is rated by age or years of service.

In the system's selection lists, codes are listed alphanumerically, so code 10 listed after code 1 on the Benefit Cost codes. The following table lists these numerically, so item 10 is the last item in the table.
