Cost Bands for Years

An option on the Benefit Costs Codes Table, in the Benefit Costing section, determines whether the years in the Benefit Cost Bands apply to age or years of service.

• Having the option for Rated by Age selected defines benefit costing determined by age.
• Having the Rated by Years of Svc option selected defines benefit costing based on the number of years that the employee has worked for the organization.

The way that age or years of service calculates is defined by the selected Age/Svc Calculation code.

If not rated by age or years of service, select 0, Not Age or Service Rated as the Age/Svc Calculation.
