Employee Termination Detail
Fields on the Employee Termination Detail
- Employee
Number. The
employee whose termination detail information is defined on this record
is displayed in the Employee Number
field.
- Termination
Code. The
Termination Code provides the reason for termination.
- Termination
Date. The
Termination Date is the date that the employee is no longer employed by
the company.
- Date
Of Notice. The
date of notice is when the employee gave notice, such as through a letter
of resignation effective in two weeks, or when the employer provided a
termination notice (sometimes called a "pink slip") to the employee.
- Rehirable?
The rehirable
flag is marked for an employee who is defined as eligible for re-hire
when the termination was recorded and continues to have a status of being
eligible for re-hire at some point in the future. This flag also is found
on the Employment tab within the Employee Master.
- Payroll
Term Date. The
payroll termination date should be the last date that the employee is
eligible for scheduled payroll processing. The employee Payroll Termination
Date from the system termination wizard populated on the Employee Termination
Detail screen.
- Payroll
Group. The
pay group that the employee was assigned to during termination processing
populates this field but can be edited later by a user.
- Severance
Pay. Any
severance pay amount recorded during the termination process populates
this field and should be recorded through payroll entry to be included
in the employee's final pay.
- Interview
Date. The
date of the termination or separation interview, if any.
- Interviewer.
A text
field containing the name of whoever conducted the exit interview.
- Interview
Notes. Any
comments recorded through the termination wizard or afterwards on the
detail for the termination interview.
- Follow-Up
Notes. Any
notes related to follow-up items such as severance or vacation hours that
may need to be paid or company assets such as a laptop computer, cell
phone, and office keys to be returned.
