Labor Segment 4 distributions are optional. Often, Labor Segment 4 Codes are defined to have equivalent Codes and Descriptions to the Tier 4 Codes, or jobs, or tasks.
On the Organization tab within the employee Master, each employee can be assigned to a Labor Segment 4 in the Labor Segment 4 field.
During the new hire process, each employee can be assigned to a Labor Segment 4 in the Labor Segment 4 field. Changes to an employee's default Labor Segment 4 can be applied through the Employee Maintenance Wizard, or changes can be made directly on the Organization tab within the master record and on related detail records, such as Position Details, Pay Rate Details, and Auto Pays.
During detailed pay entry, an alternate Labor Segment 4 Code can be selected per row of earnings.
