When employees or their dependents decline COBRA coverage, COBRA Declined Codes are selected to describe the reason that the coverage was refused.
On the Employee COBRA Detail, the COBRA Declined codes provide the Decline Code selection list in the Cobra Information section.
On the Employee COBRA Detail, to indicate that an eligible individual refused COBRA coverage, select the COBRA Declined checkbox, select a Decline Code, and enter a Declined Date.
