Web Roles
Roles are pre-defined online
workforce portals with access to workflows that are common to the job
responsibilities and access requirements of typical roles in the business
environment.
Each Role has its own set of menu
options.
These standard pairs of roles are available:
- Payroll
role and Employee PayView role
- Payroll
& HR role and Employee role
- Payroll
& HR Enterprise role and Employee Enterprise
role
With the Enterprise roles, the Recruiter
and Employee Onboard roles are often used.
Manager roles provide access
to supervisors based on the ESS Manager assignment of employees.
- A Manager (Level
1), web role code HR_MGR, can access records of his or her direct reports
based on being the ESS Manager assigned to those employees. This role
automatically controls access by applying the MANAGER security group.
- A Manager (Level
2), web role code HR_MGR2, can
access records for his or her direct reports and those who report to those
direct reports. This role automatically controls access by applying the
MGRLEV2 security group.
- A Manager (Level
3), web role code HR_MGR3, can see his or her direct reports, the direct
reports of those reports, and a
third level: those who report to the second level. This role automatically
controls access by applying the MGRLEV3 security group.
