Tax Rate Codes Table

Overview

Fields on the Tax Rate Codes Table

NAVIGATION: Validation Tables> Tax Codes Table> Rates button

• Enter the Tax Rate Code name and Description.
• Active?  An active code has the Active checkbox selected, making the code available according to the check date begin and end dates defined in the tax processing information section.

Tax Processing Information

• Tax Code.  In the Tax Processing Information section of the Tax Rate Table screen, select the Tax Code this rate table is associated with.  
• Enter a flat Tax Amount or Percentage.
• Supplemental Rate.  Enter the Supplemental Rate if applicable.
• Wage Limit.  If there is a set limit of wages to be withheld from, enter the amount in the Wage Limit field.
• Exemption Value.  If an Exemption Value applies, enter the amount of the value in this field.
• Check Date Begin and End fields. Enter the beginning and ending check dates for withholding this tax in the Check Date Begin and End fields.
