DetailsTier 3 is an optional third-tier organizational level found underneath the department-level and above Tier 4.
A health care organization needs to be able to quickly differentiate between clinical and non-clinical staff. The clinical and non-clinical designation is per employee and can apply to any position or job.
The organization has no Tier 3 Codes defined and opts to define this on Tier 3 by adding a CLINICAL code and a NONCLINIC code. All employees are assigned to one of the two Tier 3 Codes via the "3" field for departments and tiers on the Organization tab within the Master.
This allows the Employee Tier 3 List Report, PER00017, to be used to group and count the clinical and non-clinical staff, an important designation for this health care organization.
