Most records can be edited by clicking on the Edit icon when the record is displayed on its screen or validation table. Clicking on the Edit icon changes the mode of the screen to accept data entry. System constraints may prohibit editing certain fields.

When possible, instead of editing existing records, add records to establish history.

Note:  From the online system, an employee's own records are view-only, except through self-service roles or on the Employee Out of Office Detail. A user with a different employee number needs to edit records for the employee.
