Edit
Most records can be edited by clicking on the Edit
icon when the record is displayed on its screen or validation table. Clicking
on the Edit icon changes the mode
of the screen to accept data entry. System constraints may prohibit editing
certain fields.
When possible, instead of editing existing records, add records
to establish history.

Note: From
the online system, an employee's own records are view-only, except through
self-service roles or on the Employee Out of Office Detail. A user with
a different employee number needs to edit records for the employee.
How to Edit
- A
record? On
any screen with the Edit icon,
to edit the displayed record, click on the Edit
icon, make changes as needed, and save
to keep the changes.
- An
employee detail record? To
edit a detail, select the Employee,
access the appropriate detail screen, browse until you find the relevant
record, and click on the Edit
icon. Save
to keep the changes.
- A
code record? Avoid
modifying the value in the Code field itself when editing a validation
table record. The edit
function is used to modify the description and other related information
for a Code. Save to keep the changes.
