Data is the foundation of reporting. A report will be empty if no data meets the reporting and report filtering criteria.
Blank Report or Blank Fields
When no data is available that meets the filtering criteria, a report may be blank.
Certain reports, such as tax reports, display as blank until the needed tax-processing is completed.
In some cases, when a report is not visible, it means that the user lacks authorization to process the report.
If you don't see fields on a report it may indicate that your group does not have access rights to the data field that appears on that report. According to your organization's policies, this may mean that your security group needs to be changed, or that your group needs to be authorized for that data field.
Configure a PC for Reporting
For roles that have access to reports, two programs typically download automatically: npviewer.exe and crystal8.exe. An Active X component must also be loaded. Where problems with reporting occur, download and execute npviewer.exe and crystal8.exe from the Support Downloads area. A user with administrative rights to your PC may need to install these programs and components for you.
Configure a PC with Windows XP® SP_2
To use the web-product and reporting, users who have Microsoft® Windows® Service Pack 2 for Windows® XP®, AND who have difficulty using features such as reporting and viewing secondary screens, need to follow these steps: (1) turn off the pop-up blocking function for the web-product's web address, and (2) verify that a firewall is not blocking the web-product's functionality.
