Search Results

Details

To find specific employees or employee information, choose a simple or advanced search from the employee search tool.

On the upper navigation bar, the binocular's search button provides access to the employee search tool.

Search (Binoculars’) Button

From the Employee Search window, click on the preferred tab for the type of employee search: simple or advanced.

Note:  Some roles are restricted from searching for employees, and search results can be limited by security-administration.

Simple Search

Employee simple-search allows search by Last Name, First Name, Social Security number, Employee Number, Pay Group, and/or Company.

  1. To open the employee search tool, click on the binoculars' button next to the Employee(s) selection list.
  2. Enter the search criteria for any available field, even if it is only one or two letters of the first name. To search for all employees, leave the search fields blank. To include terminated employees in the search, mark the Show Terminated EE's checkbox.
  3. Click on the button for Search!  A window opens to display the search results.
  4. Select records by marking checkboxes.
  5. To update the Employee(s) selection list, click on the button for Append EE List, New EE List, or Select All button.

Advanced Search

Advanced searches use conditional statements of specific criteria from master and detail fields. The Advanced search allows you to search for employees using "and/or" logic (a Boolean search) for many payroll detail records.

  1. To open an advanced search, click on the binoculars' icon, and click on the search window's Advanced tab.
  2. Define the condition. For each condition,
    select Condition Logic (And, Or),
    Table
    ,
    Field
    ,
    Operator
    (=, <>, >, <, >=, <=, Begins, Ends, or Contains), and
    enter the corresponding value. To toggle between a text field and a drop-down list, click on the ellipses button
  3. For each additional condition level, click on the next condition level, and repeat Step 2. For instance after defining Condition 1, click on Condition 2.
  4. To run the search, click on the button for Search!
