Several validation tables need to be defined in order to record an employee leave of absence (LOA) in accordance with the organization's policies.

Before recording your first LOA, verify the set up in the order presented here.

Step Validation Table What it Enables
1 Employee Status Codes
  • Whether an employee is eligible for payroll processing
  • Whether an employee is active, terminated, retired, or on a short term or long term leave of absence (LOA)
  • Whether benefits continue
2 Attendance Type Codes Categorizes reasons for reporting
3 Attendance Codes Expands on the basic code information supplied in the Attendance Type and supplies information to the Employee Attendance Detail screen and Employment tab within the Employee Master.
