The Employee Workflow tab provides a visual workflow map for employee data maintenance.

To open the Employee workflow, click on the Employee tab $image\employee_map_icon.jpg$ on the sidebar.

Click on a workflow item to open its screen or process.

New Hire lets you hire a new employee. Selections during the new hire can create an auto pay detail record, assign benefits and the associated deductions, and assign taxes.
Terminate an Employee lets you terminate an employee or process a retirement.
Employee Master Information opens the Employee Time Master where you can change address information, update employee information, and can browse to employee detail records.
Check View lets you see what an employee was paid in a specific pay period. Use Check View to see what benefits and deductions were taken, what time was entered, and how the hours were distributed.
Net Pay takes you to the Employee Net Pay Detail where you can add pay distributions for direct deposit or can change how much pay goes to a pay check or bank account.
Earnings takes you to the Employee Earnings Detail where you can view the setup of an employee's earnings records and see what was last processed for a particular earning by earnings code.
Auto Pays takes you to the Employee Auto Pays Detail where you can define recurring, automatic earnings for an employee.
Pay Rates takes you to the Employee Pay Rates Detail where you can define automatic labor distributions or can define a different rate for when an employee has hours for a particular labor distribution.
Deductions takes you to the Employee Deductions Detail where you can define automatic deductions from the employee's pay or deductions that the employer pays on behalf of the employee. The benefit costs will override the deduction level, but once benefits process, you can see the deductions on the Employee Deductions Detail.
Benefits takes you to the Employee Benefits Detail where you can enroll an employee in a benefit plan and coverage-level for that plan. Be sure to send the information to the vendor regarding any new enrollments or changes in enrollments. You can also see which benefits the employee has or has had.
Taxes takes you to the Employee Tax Detail where you can add a new tax record or can change exemption information based on a new W-4 or state withholding certificate.
